Hello Loving Without Boundaries Community!
First things first, let’s get one thing straight (pun intended): polyamory is, by definition, based on ethics and consent. It’s not about sneaking around or trying to “steal” someone’s partner. It’s about openly communicating, establishing consensual agreements, and respecting everyone involved, with the knowledge of all parties. Period.
I mean, think about it – would a self-identified gay person in good conscience who is emotionally mature and ethical hit on a hetero person? That doesn’t even make sense for either party. It’s the same thing here, good people. Just because someone is polyamorous doesn’t mean they’re going to disregard your relationship status and start making moves on your partner.
It’s time we put this myth to bed once and for all. Polyamorous people are just like anyone else – we’re looking for love, connection, and fulfilling relationships. We just happen to believe that it’s possible to have those things with more than one person at a time, as long as everyone is on board and communication is on point.
So, if you’re in a monogamous relationship and you’re worried about polyamorous people “converting” your partner, take a deep breath and relax. Trust in your relationship, communicate openly with your partner, and remember that polyamory is all about love, respect, and consent.
