Cheers Sexy People!
Hello, Loving Without Boundaries (LWB) community! As always, I am sending good energy and vibes of hope and love to our amazing community. I believe that sharing inspirational stories of hope, inclusion, and healthy lifestyles are more important than ever. If you are looking for ways to connect with loved ones you may be separated from, check out this blog post for resources and ideas. On to another inspiring story…
I am truly honored and thrilled to share my latest podcast interview that I released with Susannah Weiss and Steve Dean, both of whom I met through the Woodhull Freedom Foundation’s Sexual Freedom Summit. I was impressed and truly enjoyed their presentation at that 2022 conference entitled: “Toxic Monogamy versus Expansive Connections”. So much YES!!! They both did a wonderful job incorporating humor, wittiness, live examples, all while engaging the audience as they gave their presentation. It was also delightful to watch how they played off of each other’s sensibilities with grace. I knew right away that I wanted to invite them to have a candid conversation with me on our Loving Without Boundaries podcast. Suzannah and Steve, thank you for the fine work that you are doing, and for saying “yes” to sharing more of our story on our LWB show. You rock!
Here are their bios:
Suzannah Weiss is a feminist writer, multi-certified sex educator, and sex/relationship coach. Her work has been published in “The New York Times”, “The Washington Post”, and more.
Steve Dean is a dating industry consultant, relationship coach, and avid community builder. Since 2011, Steve has lived nomadically around the world, testing out over 250 dating apps across 30 cities, and linking physical and virtual communities together, so that people around the world can become more interconnected, and less lonely. Steve hosts the Dateworking podcast where he provides practical wisdom for navigating our modern dating, relationship, and career ecosystems.
Some topics we discuss in this fun, informative, and entertaining interview:
- How they each came to ethical non-monogamy, and what those lightbulb moments were.
- Some of the early challenges that each of them faced when embarking on an open relationship.
- Some of their mindset changes that have come about as a result of being ethically non-monogamous.
- How Susannah and Steve initially met and how their joint presentation came about.
- Their thoughts on the pervasive thinking regarding monogamy in our culture.
- What they mean by “Expansive Connections” (the title of their presentation).
- The work they are doing currently, and what lights them up about it.
- Dating apps of particular interest to the non-monogamous community.
- Tune in to listen to this fantastic podcast episode!
