Hello, Loving Without Boundaries (LWB) community!
I am absolutely tickled pink to share my latest podcast interview with the one-and-only Ben Shaw, a self-love and freedom embracing fitness coach. I have had the honor to meet and get to know Ben since 2019 (wow, almost seven years now! Holy moly!) when we were both honored to partake in a personal and professional business development seminar in California. What struck me about Ben right away (besides his incredible stature when compared to “pocket hottie” me at only a petite 5’1″) was his enormous loving heart and passion for his work. He is a compassionate and strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community alongside his mission of fitness and wellness from the inside out. Tune in to find out why Ben insisted on bringing his red heart pillow with him to Thailand when he moved there. It’s a heartwarming story (well, it warms my heart, as it stems from our touching friendship that means so much to me, and us being peer coaches in training through our respective journeys). My dear friend, Ben – Wow, dude, you are so spectacularly awesome as an individual with a wellness mission that has a heart of gold (which I especially appreciate being a trauma-informed coach myself). I can’t wait to squeeze you again in a bear hug next time I get the enjoyment of being in your presence live. Keep going with your amazing work! I believe in you, buddy!
Here is his Bio:
I help people radically recreate their bodies and lives by rewiring subconscious patterns around weight, identity, safety, and self-trust so conscious self-recreation replaces struggle and change finally lasts.
Some topics we discuss in this highly interesting, informative, and thought-provoking interview:
-
How trauma release and self-love, particularly in women, can lead to significant progress in fitness.
-
Carrying invisible, early-life constraints that stop clients from realizing their potential.
-
Removing mental chains is as vital as physical effort for lasting change.
-
Emotional pain is the root cause of many physical issues and relationship struggles.
-
He links trauma to early life experiences around love, acceptance, and identity.
-
The belief that everyone deserves to live without limits or self-doubt.
-
Helping clients reclaim their light and break trauma patterns remains his primary source of inspiration and focus.
