Cheers Sexy People!
I’m super stoked to announce the next podcast interview that went live recently with Tim @PolyChicago who was also a presenter at the latest Beyond The Love conference that I wrote about here. Tim at PolyChicago.com is a poly community organizer in… you guessed it… Chicago! He has hosted events with the Chicago Polyamory Meetup Group since 2012, and helped co-found the Chicago Polyamory Connection in 2013. He is also co-host of the podcast, “Poly Story Repository”. Before I even had the idea to start this blog here at Loving Without Boundaries (LWB), I was doing research on the Interwebs about polyamory, and I was lucky enough to find Tim’s blog. I read many many entries and was blown away by the vulnerability, rawness, and incredible honesty that I felt through Tim and his fellow writers’ words. They deeply moved me, and eventually helped inspire me to create my mission here at LWB. I will be forever grateful for that, and have a special place in my heart for Tim! Thus I felt super grateful at the opportunity to meet him in person this past November at Beyond The Love – a conference that always has amazingly awesome speakers and presenters! Tim’s workshop on community building was fantastic and fun! I aim to start building my own local poly community in the Washington, DC area – my home base – as soon as I’m able, so the information and insights from a professional in the trenches just rocks!
In this interview, we discuss Tim’s humble polyamorous inclinations and beginnings dating back to his college days. He describes some of the most beautiful moments of his life as it relates to polyamory, some of his challenges and struggles and how he overcame them, the winding and twisting road to where he is now, and how he manages to handle four relationships that he is currently in. His light-hearted and generous spirit are just lovely and he was simply a pleasure to interview. I hope to have him back on the podcast at a future time. You rock, Tim! All of the awesome!
Here is some information from his website polychicago.com that he co-writes and manages:
PolyChicago.com is a blog written by a group of polyamorous folks living in Chicago.
Tim – Tim has lived in Chicago for the last ten years. He was in a triad in college, but without any good communication it unraveled rather quickly. After being in a closed marriage for quite some time, his relationship opened two years ago. He is now in a variety of different relationships, including one with Jamie.
Awesome stuff! Thank you, Tim for being generous with your time, for the work that you do with your various local poly communities, and for sharing your thoughts and insights with us via the podcast interview! You are just so fantastic and I thank you for all of the fine work you are doing to contribute to creating awareness and community around polyamory and consensual non-monogamy! Follow his adventures at polychicago.com.
