Hello, Loving Without Boundaries (LWB) community!
I am absolutely delighted and thrilled to share my latest podcast interview with Shannon Hamaker, certified sex coach, sexual health educator, and somatic practitioner. I had the wonderful pleasure of getting to meet Shannon in person this past January at the Interfusion Festival here in the Washington, DC area. It was my first time attending this event that had been recommended to me by two of my former clients. I only had one day available to attend, yet I was determined to finally check it out. At the registration counter, the assistants there had tech challenges accepting my credit card, and Shannon and her partner came to my rescue – just in time for us to get to a connection workshop where I made a new live music friend. What an adventure! This all led to me getting to know Shannon and her work better, and excitedly inviting her to come on my podcast. What a fantastic conversation we had! I am deeply inspired by Shannon’s heartfelt work, which is very much in alignment with the sex positive work that I do as well. I’m a huge fan, and can’t wait to see Shannon at the next Interfusion Festival this coming January in 2026. Will you be there? Shannon! What a bright light you are to the world! I applaud your dedication to all things healthy sex positive relating and dating! Thank you for making the world a more pleasurable and joyful place for all desiring healthy intimate relationships, no matter their age!
Here is her Bio:
Shannon is on a mission to help people shed the layers of misunderstanding around sexuality and intimacy, unlocking the magic that comes with self-discovery and deeper connection. What began as a personal journey to enhance her 19-year marriage has transformed into a movement to support others in embracing their sexual wellness.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. in Human Ecology (Marriage & Family focus), Shannon is a Certified Sexual Health Promoter and Educator (Indiana University), Certified Sex Coach, and Somatic Practitioner (TCS™ Method). She is passionate about breaking myths around human sexuality through intimacy education and promoting products that support sexual health, especially for those affected by medication side effects, pelvic pain, peri & post-menopause, and cancer treatments.
This is your invitation to reconnect, rediscover, and reclaim your pleasure. Let’s (s)explore together!

How patterns learned in childhood are not fixed identity traits but can be recognized and transformed.
-
The “Five Personality Patterns” and how they manifest in relationships.
-
Using essential nervous system regulation techniques to address overwhelming situations calmly before crises arise.
-
Meeting defensiveness with compassion rather than matching energy.
-
Understanding that most adults don’t know their own values. There is a need to deconstruct childhood experiences and reconstruct adult value systems.
-
Personal development is a pathway to fulfilling relationships.
-
Looking within rather than to others for validation.
