I am so excited to share my latest podcast interview with Cindy Gallop, who is the CEO of the ambitious MakeLoveNotPorn mission and website. When I say this woman is a powerhouse, even that is an understatement. Her confidence, charisma, fortitude, and intellect are truly a force to be reckoned with. I was deeply impressed and also fascinated by our conversation that I trust you will also enjoy listening to. In a sex negative world that demonizes content such as porn, the concept of creating the first user-generated, human-curated social sex video-sharing platform is truly revolutionary and – in my humble opinion – a magnificent endeavor. This courageous work totally aligns with our mission here at Loving Without Boundaries to help normalize conversations around our sexuality, the act of sex itself, and sharing stories of those who color outside of the lines of hetero-normative monogamy (who often feel alone and stigmatized).
Cindy, I am so incredibly grateful that you reached out to share your important message and mission with our listeners, and for the incredibly powerful and transformative work that you are doing with MakeLoveNotPorn. I’m a huge fan! Your brief, brave, and at times hilarious initial TedTalk from 2009 is profound and revolutionary (with a truly needed message)! Cindy Gallop is the founder and CEO of MakeLoveNotPorn, launched at TED 2009 – “Pro-sex. Pro-porn. Pro-knowing the difference”. In 2013, she turned MakeLoveNotPorn into the world’s first user-generated, human-curated social sex video-sharing platform, socializing and normalizing sex in order to make it easier to talk about, to promote consent, communication, good sexual values and good sexual behavior.
MakeLoveNotPorn’s mission is to end rape culture by spearheading the Social Sex Revolution (the revolutionary part isn’t the sex, but the social). Cindy speaks at conferences globally and consults, describing her approach as “I like to blow shit up. I am the Michael Bay of business”.
