Cheers Sexy People!
Hello, Loving Without Boundaries (LWB) community! As always, I am sending good energy and vibes of hope and love to our amazing community. I believe that sharing inspirational stories of hope, inclusion, and healthy lifestyles are more important than ever. If you are looking for ways to connect with loved ones you may be separated from, check out this blog post for resources and ideas. On to another inspiring story…
I am absolutely thrilled to share my latest podcast interview that I released with Sander T. Jones, a colleague, friend, and licensed psychotherapist and author of the book “Cultivating Connection: A Practical Guide for Personal and Relationship Growth in Ethical Non-Monogamy.” I first met Sander at Atlanta Poly Weekend back in 2018, when I was both presenting workshops, and promoting and signing copies of my new “Jealousy Survival Guide” book at the time.Sander gave two amazingly informative workshops that I truly LOVED. So I walked up and introduced myself to compliment their fine work, and explore the idea of coming on my Loving Without Boundaries podcast. This led to my encouragement of Sander to possibly consider writing their own book, as I believed that these powerful boundary-setting and healthy communication skills needed to be shared far and wide, in this gal’s humble opinion. Low and behold the book is finally here! YESSSS!!! We are all better for it.
Sander has extensive experience in polyamory and working with clients in non-monogamous relationships. Sander emphasizes collaborative communication, conflict resolution, respecting autonomy, and strengthening relationship bonds. Sander has navigated complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, and used self-help books as therapy alternatives due to financial constraints. In this podcast, they share lightbulb moments related to gender identity (masculine energy), sexual orientation (realization of attraction to women), ethical non-monogamy (discovering polyamory through a part-time girlfriend), and gender expression (identifying as non-binary). The podcast represents a vulnerable share and acknowledges the importance of normalizing conversations about certain topics.
Thank you so SO much, Sander for this important conversation, for being a pillar and leader of our community, for your stupendous work rising above your own challenges that you have experienced over the course of your life, and for being an inspiration with your advocacy and diligent growth. I am so dang proud of you for completing this important new resource!
Here is Their Bio:

And now they are the author of a book that teaches this information: “Cultivating Connection: A practical guide for personal and relationship growth in ethical non-monogamy.”
Some topics we discuss in this highly interesting, informative, and entertaining interview:
- The emphasis on collaborative communication, conflict resolution, respecting autonomy, and strengthening relationship bonds.
- The importance of prioritizing oneself and putting personal needs first.
- The conversation touches on relationship agreements, recognizing gifts in relationships, and expressing appreciation for them.
- The importance of representation and inclusivity in their book, particularly for those in marginalized communities.
- The need to avoid difficult conversations when individuals are in a fight-flight-freeze response.
- Non-Violent Communication (NVC) is mentioned as a tool to separate observations from judgments, promoting curiosity, and collaboration instead of adversarial conflict.
