Cheers Sexy People!
Hello, Loving Without Boundaries (LWB) community! My heart goes out to you during these challenging times. I hope you are doing your best to keep safe. Sharing inspirational stories of hope, inclusion, and healthy lifestyles are more important than ever. If you are looking for ways to connect with loved ones you are separated from, check out this blog post that I shared recently. On to another inspiring story…
I am delighted to share my latest podcast interview that I released recently with Christine Laplante. As a therapist who is also polyamorous, Christine reached out to me after I published my blog post, “Poly Therapist vs .Poly Coach” to share her views on the topic. It was a pleasure to meet her and discuss our different and shared approaches. I absolutely welcome her thoughts and perceptions as a therapist, and loved hearing her well-spoken perspective. Christine, I sincerely thank you for reaching out to me, and offering to share your valuable voice, story, and wisdom here in our community. I appreciate you and what you offer our wonderful community!
Here is her bio:
Christine Laplante is a licensed mental health counselor specializing in sexual and relational health from a trauma-informed, not focused, approach. Christine is the author of the book: “Sacred, Not Secret: An Integrated Approach to Sexual Health”. She brings a collaboration of world view, lived experience and academic studies to her work.
Some topics we discuss in this fun, informative, and entertaining interview:
- How she provided sex advice to her classmates in fourth grade.
- Why she was a horrible girlfriend and how that shaped her desire to be non-monogamous.
- Her thoughts and feelings on whether polyamory is a choice or an orientation.
- The challenges she experienced and overcame in her journey as polyamorous and pansexual.
- Where she and her husband currently are at in terms of their connection, agreements, etc.
- Why she became a mental health counselor who specializes in sexual health.
- How she defines therapy and how, in her opinion, it differs from coaching.
- Tune in to listen to this fantastic podcast episode!
Thank you Christine, for being so awesomely generous with your time and for sharing your work with us via the podcast interview! It was enlightening, interesting, and so fun! Learn more about Christine on her website, Facebook, Instagram and check out her book.
