Cheers Sexy People!
Happy Thursday, rock stars! I am so thrilled to share my latest podcast interview that I’m releasing with the enlightening and amazing León Mitchell Powell. I had the honor of meeting León at the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit back in August of 2017. We became fast friends continually running into each other throughout the informational and eye-opening weekend. I could not help but be totally engaged in hearing León’s story, perspectives, and insights through his unusual and often challenging journey through life. I could not wait to get him on my podcast and was so delighted when he said yes! It may have taken a bit of coaxing, but here is the interview in all of its glory. Some folks I know have already listened to this episode and were in tears… When someone shares so authentically and vulnerably, it can be hard not to be really moved and walk along their journey right beside them, and empathize with them (perhaps seeing yourself in moments). León, you are opening doors and minds with this interview. I can hardly express my gratitude in a large enough way. Thank you! Keep being ever-evolving YOU!
Here is León’s bio:
León (they/he) is an artist, designer, translator, and multi-passionate nerd. He is currently serving as an intern at the Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico, and is also studying massage therapy. He looks forward to bringing compassionate touch to his community. León identifies as queer, non-binary, transmasculine, and of mixed ancestry.
Some topics we discuss in this educational, touching, and fascinating interview:
— This interview takes on subjects such as Leon’s life as a child growing up and exploring his choices in identity, struggles, and realizations as he entered into adulthood.
— We discuss the challenges he faced in relationships and his journey as a transgender person and how he overcame them.
— We touch on the personal declaration León has now that he wished he learned earlier on in life: “Whatever you do, you will always be loved”.
— León shares where he is now on his journey in terms of understanding relationships.
— León shares new skills he acquired that helped him on his path, and his view about non-monogamy and relationships in general.
— I’ll stop sharing here as I think it is much more powerful to simply listen to the interview with your own ears and your mind wide open!
Thank you León, for being so awesomely generous with your time, for sharing your story so vulnerably in order to help others, and for sharing your wisdom and insights with us via the podcast interview! It was enlightening, engaging, and so fascinating! Follow his work and adventures at his website at leonpowell.online or email him at leon@mitchellpowell.com.

UPCOMING POLYAMOROUS-FRIENDLY EVENTS
1) Free LWB Facebook Group for Healthy, Sex Positive, Open Relationships — Ready to explore healthy, deeply connected (and virtually jealousy-free) open relationships? It’s all possible – especially when surrounded by a community of people already doing it. Many in newly open relationships experience roller coaster emotions of jealousy, insecurity, and feel alone on their journey. That’s why I created this free Facebook group where people are coming together to share actionable tips for succeeding in multiple loving relationships, explore deeper love, and find mutual understanding and support. There’s an abundance of rock star information posted in the group daily by our amazing members. We create a safe place to engage that’s fun and thrilling! Click here and request to join our free group!
2) World Domination Summit (WDS) Meetup; Portland, Oregon; Sunday, June 30, 2019, 1:30pm–3pm — Workshop: Jealousy Survival Guide. Jealousy can have an enormous impact on some people, so it is no surprise that people (especially those who practice consensual non-monogamy) think, talk, and write about it quite a bit. Using techniques from her book, “Jealousy Survival Guide”, Kitty Chambliss gives you inspiration and provides tools to gain and practice new skills. This is a comprehensive workshop and step-by-step template for recognizing feelings of jealousy and insecurity as they come up using effective tools for sorting through those emotions, and when, if, and how to bring up challenging or potentially emotionally charged conversations with loved ones. NOTE: You do NOT need to be a WDS attendee to come to this meetup that is being held at the locally famous McMenamins Ringlers Pub. Come join the fun, the adventure, and the celebration of community!
3) Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit (SFS), Alexandria, Virginia, August 15–18, 2019 — The Sexual Freedom Summit features human rights activists, sexuality educators and researchers, professionals from the legal and medical fields, authors, sexual freedom movement leaders and organizational partners all working toward the time when sexual freedom is fully recognized as a fundamental human right. This Summit is for EVERYONE interested in learning about the issues in the realm of sexual freedom, advancing their current knowledge and in gaining the tools to actually create the change we need to accomplish. I hope to see you there!
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
See you on the flip side, lovely community! Keep being brave, compassionately vulnerable, and uniquely and authentically you!
Wishing you peace, love and happiness
(and thrilling, fun sex too!)
Kitty
