Cheers Sexy People!
Hello, Loving Without Boundaries (LWB) community! As always, I am sending good energy and vibes of hope and love to our amazing community. I believe that sharing inspirational stories of hope, inclusion, and healthy lifestyles are more important than ever. If you are looking for ways to connect with loved ones you may be separated from, check out this blog post for resources and ideas. On to another inspiring story…
I am truly honored and thrilled to share my latest podcast interview that I released with Dr. Stephen Furlich. We had such an incredibly informative discussion about his new enlightening book, “Sex Talk: How Biological Sex Influences Gender Communication Differences Throughout Life’s Stages.” Having written my own book back in 2017, I know the type of dedication and hard work that is required to complete such an incredible undertaking – especially all of the diligent research that went into this powerful book. It is important to note that much more research continues to be needed to include ALL genders – not just the classic “man” and “woman” binary indicators. Yet how we are raised in that binary fashion (even though one may identify with a different gender later) also does have an impact on us. We do address this concern in our fascinating interview. Dr. Stephen Furlich, thank you for your incredible work ethic, stamina, and dedication in the communication research that you are conducting, and in putting this piece out into the world.
Here is his bio:
Dr. Stephen Furlich is the author of a breakthrough book, “Sex Talk: How Biological Sex Influences Gender Communication Differences Throughout Life’s Stages”. He has taught and researched communication at the university level for over 20 years. He has taught a variety of communication courses with the main focus of better understanding oneself and others. Often, his research projects and the courses that he taught, complemented each other and lead into innovative directions.
Some topics we discuss in this fun, informative, and entertaining interview:
- How to better understand oneself and others.
- The importance of understanding conversations and social interactions from the other person’s perspective.
- Verbal and nonverbal communication differences between men and women.
- How sex hormone levels before birth can predict language abilities later in life.
- How language ability and relationships are interconnected.
- Tune in to listen to this fantastic podcast episode!
Thank you Dr. Furlich, for being so wonderfully generous with your time, and for sharing your work and life with us via the podcast interview! It was enlightening, interesting, and so fun! You can learn more about Dr. Furlich on LinkedIn or you can find a copy of his book available on Amazon.
