Hello Sexy People!
As we slide into the second quarter of the year, we are expecting April’s showers to bring us May flowers. However, April also brings us some potentially hot holidays.
Sure, there’s Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Passover. And, at least here in the U.S., we’ve got Tax Day (which is the absolute opposite of sexy). But, of much more interest to me are this month’s sex holidays. For the most part, I don’t need a specific declared date to enjoy sex and sexy times, but once in awhile, it’s nice to be able to blame my behavior on a proscribed celebration 😁.
Here are the holidays I’m adding to my calendar this month:
Apr 14 – Cake & Cunnilingus Day
If you are unfamiliar with this holiday, it’s not too surprising; according to Wikipedia, it was created as recently as 2006 by Ms. Naughty, a web designer, writer and filmmaker. Why? Well, apparently there is an affiliate holiday on March 14 (Steak and Blowjob Day), and she designated this tongue-in-cheek celebration to “emphasize female enjoyment and honor women”. Regardless, it’s a great excuse to eat cake and engage in oral sex, all at the same time… or not.
Apr 16 – National Horny Day
This seems like it would be everyday for some people, not a national holiday with a specific date. However, this holiday began in 2019 when it was launched by an Urban Dictionary user. Then truly trended on social media the following year as a day to post sexual content online. Whether or not it’s an official holiday, you should still be careful about where you post, with whom you share and be certain that your recipients consent to what you are sending. In other words, unsolicited dick pics are never a good idea!
Apr 18 – Anal Sex Day
This “holiday” owes its start to Australian comedian Jim Jeffries who proposed it during his comedy special, “Bare”, released in August 2014. If anal sex is new to you, this could be a good opportunity to explore something novel and different with a trusted partner. Read up on tips and tricks and take your time to make it a pleasurable experience.
Apr 24 – Lingerie Day
With less emphasis on sex and more on simply feeling sexy, this observation provides a good opportunity to wear that special underwear that perhaps you only save for special occasions. And while this might seem like a gender-specific holiday, it doesn’t have to be! Everyone can give themselves permission to feel sexy and confident while donning a little something sexy under one’s clothes, which can give you a boost of self confidence. Check out Journelle’s collection of men’s lingerie, which includes pieces from Roman Sipe’s Menagerie Intimates, which is redefining the way that the male form thinks about undergarments.
We hope that you enjoy these fun and sexy holidays! Feel free to write in the comments how you celebrated your sexy!
Until next time …
With love and gratitude,
