I am thrilled to share my latest podcast interview that I released recently with Tessa and Amir of The Open Nesters podcast, which launched on January 28, 2021. It was wonderful to connect with them on the podcast as we have a lot in common beyond our experiences in ethical non-monogamy, including an intense passion for music and dance, and a big appreciation for home hot tubs. I enjoyed hearing them speak so openly and honestly about their journey from swinging to polyamory and how that will translate into their new podcast. I really liked their outlook on what they refer to as their Third Act, as their children are now grown, independent adults and they are embracing this next stage of their lives. It is clear that they have some great advice to share with others who are, or will be, encountering the joys and challenges that this life stage brings. Tessa and Amir! Here is their bio:
Tessa & Amir are the original open nesters who host a unique podcast called The Open Nesters. They are a wildly creative couple who have been married for 31 years, half of which they have been polyamorous. They chose to be in an open relationship, agreeing to ethical non-monogamy both emotionally & physically, and you will hear of some alternative practices—outside and inside the bedroom through their interviews with inspiring individuals, partners & experts, including their process of ‘coming out’ to their adult kids. The podcast also opens pathways toward exploring physical, spiritual & intellectual passions and tackles the topic of ageism in our society.
Together, Tessa & Amir have explored many different pursuits and launched interesting businesses, and during non-COVID-19 times, they travel extensively.
