Cheers Sexy People!
Happy Friday, rock stars! I am elated to share my latest podcast interview that I recently released with author, sex educator, activist and all-around awesome human, Koe Creation. Koe recently wrote and published their book, “This Heart Holds Many: My Life as the Nonbinary Millennial Child of a Polyamorous Family” that discusses their experiences growing up. This book is the first of its kind! I am so proud and delighted that Koe – with their infinite wisdom at such a young age – realized that the world needed this book. I was unfamiliar with their work, but my good friend Lightfoot (LWB Podcast: Episode 52) alerted me that Koe was going to be at the same conference I was: Southwest Love Fest several weeks ago. He urged me to take the time to seek them out, and meet them in person. It took some fancy footwork, but Koe and I made it happen. They came running up to me in – I kid you not – a skeleton suit at the Saturday evening party. Hahaha! That was memorable! We got separated by the crowds, yet we were able to continue the conversation the following day as well. Fast forward a few more weeks, and we put another LWB podcast on the books, creating a killer show. Koe! My goodness, are you a wise soul! I am filled with such gratitude that you put this amazing book out there for us all to enjoy. Keep up the kickass work! You have many more gifts to give to the world.
Some topics we discuss in this super cool, educational, and fascinating interview:
— Koe shares their life as a biological child of a polyamorous family growing up in the 90s, how their family and poly community began, including explaining their parents and their family structure.
— Koe shares an excerpt from their new book — fresh and exclusive for LWB podcast readers!
— Koe dives deep into the reasons why they wrote the book, and how long it took them to publish it.
— Ah… the classic: “But what about the children?” Koe answers the usual question that often arises about polyamory — anxiety with the concern that it is unethical and thus damages children. Koe courageously takes this head on! They also discuss the perks of being a child of a polyamorous family structure.
— Koe offers advice especially to youth of polyamorous families on the importance about finding your authentic self in relation to and separate from your family.
— “It’s not about the sex.” Koe talks why engaging in an open relationship is beyond that.
— How Koe came up with their pseudonym.
— And so much more! Tune in to find out!
Thank you Koe, for being so awesomely generous with your time; for your hard work creating this amazing book “This Heart Holds Many”; and for sharing your wisdom and insights with us via the podcast interview! It was enlightening, engaging, and so fun! Follow their work and adventures at their website at KoeCreation.com, all social media channels @KoeCreate, or you can email them at: koecreation@gmail.com

UPCOMING POLYAMOROUS-FRIENDLY EVENTS
1) Free LWB Facebook Group for Healthy, Sex Positive, Open Relationships — Ready to explore healthy, deeply connected (and virtually jealousy-free) open relationships? It’s all possible – especially when surrounded by a community of people already doing it. Many in newly open relationships experience roller coaster emotions of jealousy, insecurity, and feel alone on their journey. That’s why I created this free Facebook group where people are coming together to share actionable tips for succeeding in multiple loving relationships, explore deeper love, and find mutual understanding and support. There’s an abundance of rock star information posted in the group daily by our amazing members. We create a safe place to engage that’s fun and thrilling! Click here and request to join our free group!
2) World Domination Summit (WDS) Meetup; Portland, Oregon; Sunday, June 30, 2019, 1:30pm–3pm — Workshop: Jealousy Survival Guide. Jealousy can have an enormous impact on some people, so it is no surprise that people (especially those who practice consensual non-monogamy) think, talk, and write about it quite a bit. Using techniques from her book, “Jealousy Survival Guide”, Kitty Chambliss gives you inspiration and provides tools to gain and practice new skills. This is a comprehensive workshop and step-by-step template for recognizing feelings of jealousy and insecurity as they come up using effective tools for sorting through those emotions, and when, if, and how to bring up challenging or potentially emotionally charged conversations with loved ones. NOTE: You do NOT need to be a WDS attendee to come to this meetup that is being held at the locally famous McMenamins Ringlers Pub. Come join the fun, the adventure, and the celebration of community!
3) Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit (SFS), Alexandria, Virginia, August 15–18, 2019 — The Sexual Freedom Summit features human rights activists, sexuality educators and researchers, professionals from the legal and medical fields, authors, sexual freedom movement leaders and organizational partners all working toward the time when sexual freedom is fully recognized as a fundamental human right. This Summit is for EVERYONE interested in learning about the issues in the realm of sexual freedom, advancing their current knowledge and in gaining the tools to actually create the change we need to accomplish. I hope to see you there!

See you on the flip side, lovely community! Keep being brave, compassionately vulnerable, and uniquely and authentically you!
Wishing you peace, love and happiness
(and thrilling, fun sex too!)
