Cheers Sexy People!
Several months ago now I had the honor of being asked to be a contributing writer (along with many other fabulous writers) for a website called Multiamory. I am very proud of this second article that I wrote for Multiamory called Emotional Responsibility: Owning Your Side of the Fence. This topic is very near and dear to my heart as I firmly believe that any healthy relationship needs the foundation of each partner “owning their sh*t” when needed, especially when any conflicts may arise. I can tell you firsthand that when we come to a conversation with the ability to take personal responsibility for our own contribution to the situation, it changes the entire tone as well as the outcome of the conversation! Special thanks to Cunning Minx and Lusty Guy from Poly Weekly and concepts from the book Nonviolent Communication for some of the inspiration and various contributions to this article. Read on to learn more! Maybe there are nuggets of wisdom to help you on your personal journey!
From the amazing Multiamory team’s website to help understand their mission:
“We believe in looking to the future of relationships, not maintaining the status quo of the past. We value ethics over tradition, and we believe that a healthy world is one where everybody has agency in their relationships.
We offer new ideas and advice for multiple forms of love: everything from conscious monogamy to ethical polyamory and radical relationship anarchy. We combine the knowledge from our years of personal experience with the best information available and present it in a way that’s entertaining, thought-provoking, and easy to apply to your relationships.
Conventional relationship advice is toxic and outdated. If you want some out-of-the-box ideas to deepen your current relationships, find the best romantic partners for you, broaden your sexual horizons, or develop a better understanding of yourself, then check out our podcast and blog. We love hearing your questions so please leave them in the comments or email us at info@multiamory.com.”
