Cheers Sexy People! Happy Halloween!
Wow, wow, WOW! Writing a book and figuring out how to do a book launch has been nail-biting yet very exciting! I was totally stoked yesterday to see that the amazingly talented and super cool Tikva Wolf – creator of KimchiCuddles – created a comic in support of getting the word out to help more and more people with my “Jealousy Survival Guide: How to feel safe, happy, and secure in an open relationship” book. Yeah baby!
Here we are, the eve of the official book launch day (November 1st), and the reviews are so exciting to read that are coming to my inbox (and live on Amazon.com). In terms of testimonials, something AMAZING has happened. The other day when I was at my pole dancing class (by the way, pole dancing ROCKS and is a super great way to stay healthy!), I got awesome news. One of my biggest heroes, mentors, and dare I say loosely “colleagues”, Vanessa Van Edwards endorsed my “Jealousy Survival Guide” book. This is HUGE in my humble opinion for the polyamorous community. Any time a respected someone in the spotlight not only acknowledges our existence, but speaks candidly and supportively about different relationship structures, it helps create more visibility, awareness, and tolerance for alternative lifestyles such as polyamory. I LOVE this woman Vanessa, as well as her work. Her mission in life: to help others level up their relationships and supercharge their people skills. She is a human behavior hacker, researcher, and super genius as far as I’m concerned. You can hear her marvelousness for yourself in Episode 54 of the LWB podcast where we talk about her book, “Captivate: The Science of Succeeding with People” – a book I highly recommend if you are a bit of a nerd, and want to learn to rock your relationships.
“Regardless of what type of relationship you’re in – polyamorous, monogamous or something in between – jealousy has the potential to creep in and wreck it. In her brilliant book, Kitty Chambliss helps you understand your jealously so that you have the power to take control of it and prevent it from affecting your emotional well-being and behaviors. Throughout the book, she shares very real, relatable stories from her own life mixed in with insightful advice and action steps that enable readers to immediately apply the book’s lessons. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to feel more confident in their relationships and in themselves.”— Vanessa Van Edwards, Author of “CAPTIVATE: The Science of Succeeding with People” and founder of Science of People
