Cheers Sexy People!
I’m thrilled to share with you our latest podcast here at Loving Without Boundaries! I had the pleasure of meeting Celeste Quinn when she commented multiple times on our blog here, and we got into a few lovely conversations. Right away, I knew I liked her vivacious personality and inquisitive and smart mind. So I took the initiative to see if she’d like to be on the podcast. She agreed and low and behold, turns out she’s a published author! That rocks! It’s even about ethical non-monogamy – Diary Of A Swinging Wife – Yum! (more on that later). We spoke before we started taping the interview and enjoyed some hilarity sharing stories with each other. We also found out that we have much in common, such as being raised Catholics (and subsequently recovering from that experience as we became adults) and having an Italian heritage and love of fantastic food. Yum again!
In our email conversations, she proved to be a lovely, kind and generous soul sharing such awesomeness with me like the following statement:
“I’m just super-excited about being a part of your important, thought-provoking, honest & authentic work.”
What. A. Sweetheart. 🙂 Thank you for your kind words, Celeste.
Here is her full bio from Diary of A Swinging Wife:
The idea to write erotic fiction caught up with Celeste Quinn when a client who had hired her to ghostwrite her memoir asked if she’d write a smart, steamy, character-driven short story she could present to her husband on their anniversary. (The “presenting” process was to involve the unveiling of a new alluring outfit and reading the story aloud.) She told Celeste that she’d been on the hunt for explicitly sexy fiction as a way to spice up her sex life, and while she’d found lots of it, she said she hadn’t encountered enough characters she could relate to. “Where are the real middle-aged women like you and me, Celeste?” she wondered aloud.
Celeste, coincidentally taking the first tentative but exciting steps toward exploring her own wild side at that time (unbeknownst to the client), accepted the challenge, and Diary of a Swinging Wife was born.
In addition to her ghostwriting work, Celeste has worked as an editor, copywriter, and writing instructor. She has a weakness for shelter cats and books (especially vintage Modern Library editions) and has more than her landlord allows (cats, not books, that is…she hopes he’s not reading this…). Some of Daria’s adventures as a swinging wife are based on Celeste’s own experiences, though she’ll never say which.
She and her husband live in Austin, Texas.
Thank you Celeste, for being so generous with your time, and for sharing your thoughts and insights with us via the podcast interview! It was a particularly entertaining discussion that was a joy to do! I see a beautiful friendship forming here, and you are welcome back on the podcast anytime. You rock, Celeste! Follow her adventures on Twitter @CQuinnWrites or buy a copy of her book on Amazon.
